Easy Guest Room Style

The Holidays are on here before you know it and many of us have guests staying over. Even if you have a guestroom, I like to switch it up every year just to make things fresh and new. This plan also works well if you're selling and you need to designate a (non-kid) bedroom to an empty room.

I'm using this room, designed by Matthew Caughy, as inspiration 

because I think it is absolutely fabulous.

You really only need 3 pieces of furniture.

 > Grey Bed > Seagrass Bed  > Grey Tufted Chair  > Parsons desk > Marble top table- similar Homegoods > Grey Chair

I think these 3 pieces are the bare essentials. If you have an empty closet, you can do without a dresser and incorporate a "hotel style" to help your guest to get settled.

If you don't have an empty closet, it's a good idea to add a small dresser. 

Gender neutral colors and decor work best. 

Other than the furniture essentials, {plus a lamp, and a few other accesories} there's no better way to welcome your guests than with some fresh flowers and a fun gift basket. I like to use the basket idea for home staging a guest room too.
